Congratulations to FAU undergraduate student Rachel Kuperman on winning a scholarship award—the Never Alone Scholarship—from Rebuild Yourself Inc.!

For considersation, students were asked to describe a situation or time frame that impacted your teenage years and how the ability of peer support assisted you through overcoming such an event. Kuperman wrote her submission as part of Wilson Sims' ENC 1102 Composition II class in Spring 2022.

Kuperman's award winning essay describes finding strength, community, and drive from her peers, friends, and family in the wake of the deadly mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, ³Ô¹ÏÍø on February 14th, 2018. You can read .
