The Department of Emergency Management works with internal and external partners to provide educational outreach opportunities to the University community. Our Community Engagement Program delivers awareness and preparedness briefings, seminars, training sessions, and activities to staff, faculty, students, residential populations, and the external community, as appropriate.Ìý

Active Threat Preparedness Seminars (Campus Wide)

The FAU Department of Emergency Management and the ³Ô¹ÏÍø Atlantic Police Department will host in-person Campus-Wide Active Threat Training Seminars on all campuses, available to all ³Ô¹ÏÍø Atlantic students, staff, and faculty.

You'll learn what an active threat is and its impacts, preparedness from a University and personal perspective, and awareness and response measures in the event of an active threat.
