The College of Engineering and Computer Science at ³Ô¹ÏÍø is celebrating 10 years of global impact by the Journal of Big Data, co-founded by Professors Borko Furht and Taghi M. Khoshgoftaar. Furht, a leading researcher in multimedia systems, cloud computing, and wireless technologies, has secured over $30 million in research funding and was honored with FAU’s President’s Award for Career Achievements in 2024. Khoshgoftaar, one of ³Ô¹ÏÍø’s most highly cited computer scientists, has published over 900 peer-reviewed works and founded FAU’s Big Data Training and Research Lab. Together, their editorial leadership has elevated the Journal of Big Data to the top-ranked publication worldwide in its field, shaping the future of data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. Their achievements highlight FAU’s growing influence in advancing technology and interdisciplinary research on a global scale.

And they are an amazing part of the NRT Team, with Dr. Furht serving as Director of the NRT program and Dr. Khoshgoftaar as Co-PI.
