Today marks the beginning of National Black History Month, an annual recognition and celebration of the history and contributions of African American/Black Diaspora communities in our country. The theme for 2023, chosen each year by the Association for the Study of African American Life and History, is Black Resistance.

³Ô¹ÏÍø will celebrate throughout the month of February with a series of Black History Month events on the Boca Raton, Jupiter and Broward campuses. Programs include art exhibits, lectures, a Black History Month Showcase and more. I encourage all members of our FAU community to observe and participate as we honor our Black communities.
