Multimedia Studies: Film & Media
The Film & Media sequence prepares students to engage with today’s evolving media landscape through a balance of critical study and creative practice. Grounded in a liberal arts foundation, the program emphasizes connections among media history, analysis, and production.
Students examine cinema, television, and digital media while developing practical skills through coursework in filmmaking, editing, cinematography, sound, and computer animation. Upper-level courses explore areas such as documentary, world cinema, television studies, digital cultures, interactive media, animation, and video games.
The program combines analytical training with hands-on production experience, equipping graduates with the knowledge and technical proficiency needed for careers in film and television production, media industries, education, and related fields.
