Have questions about nutrition? Not sure how to plan for a busy day on campus? Looking for guidance when it comes to eating a balanced diet?

Nutrition Consultation

    • Work with a Registered Dietitian to determine your unique nutrition needs. Students share what they currently eat and discuss practical ways to improve nutrient intake. Follow up appointments are available to promote long-term behavior change.

    • Nutrition services are now being offered through Student Health Services at ³Ô¹ÏÍø Atlantic. Students can see a registered dietitian for individual consultations that address an array of nutrition topics.

Dean of Students - Beyond Food Program

    • The Beyond Food Program and Food Pantry is a holistic program that utilizes the expertise of various on and off campus resources in assisting ³Ô¹ÏÍø Atlantic students in need to raise their food security level to persist toward academic success. Furthermore, based on the availability of donations we would like to serve any ³Ô¹ÏÍø Atlantic student by providing a 3-day supply of canned and/or non-perishable food to those experiencing food insecurity.

Owls Care - Workshops

    • Relaxation 101 – Managing Stress in College: College life is filled with challenges, many of which can be stressful. This workshop presents a realistic approach to managing stress as a college student.

    • Students are provided with accommodations and assistance if they have a diagnosed disorder.

    • FAU offers various sources to help you find health and wellness. Find what Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) has to offer to help you get better quality sleep.

    • Schedule an appointment or explore the different types of care that Student Health Services can provide to you.Ìý

Stress

Do you need help with self-care? Do you incorporate stress management into your life?

    • Owls Care Health Promotion offers students free wellness resources that may help you manage your stress ( i.e. stress balls, scratch and draw sheets, and many more). Check out the Health & Wellness map and locate a wellness cart closest to you.

    • Students can meet with a counselor at CAPS for an initial appointment. Based on your unique concerns and situation, your counselor might recommend individual therapy or group therapy.

Housing & Residential Education - Get Wise Centers

    • Get Wise is an after-hours academic resource and student support service center located in Atlantic Park Towers and Glades Park Towers. During operational hours, the APT Center is staffed with a desk assistant and available for open use, while the GPT center is staffed by highly trained learning assistants, subject area tutors and writing consultants (please see their webpage for specific times).

The Body Project

    • What’s fun about The Body Project? Prizes will be given and a certificate of completion for students who attend both sessions. The sessions are broken up into two 2.5-hour sessions, held one week apart. You will be part of a small group of students discussing the appearance ideal and how to fight back against it.
