There are a number of ways to make a public records request. All requests will be processed in the order in which they are received, and as promptly as possible. Pursuant to section 119.07(4), ³Ô¹ÏÍø Statutes, FAU may impose fees, which are also available on the ³Ô¹ÏÍø Governor’s website at :

Notice for Crash Reports: Traffic crash reports and the information contained therein is confidential for the first 60 days after the crash, and can only be obtained by certain parties, per F.S.S. 316.066(2). NOTE: as of March 1st, 2023, the ³Ô¹ÏÍø State Legislature, through Senate Bill 1614, has also made certain crash report information confidential and exempt beyond 60 days, except to certain parties. The State requires that anyone requesting a traffic crash report must complete an affidavit specifying why you are entitled to that report. You may use the link provided to print an Adobe PDF copy of the affidavit.
